For three centuries, the Philip Carter Winery family has made a way of life in the rolling landscapes of Fauquier County, Virginia and proudly serving as stewards of the Virginia Piedmont, a unique and special place enriched with cultural significance of sweeping historical importance. Hours: Monday, Thursday, & Friday – 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Saturday – 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Sunday – 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Children / Under Age: We welcome families with well-behaved children. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Our tour is a 21+ experience exclusively. Only those 21 and older are permitted to consume or purchase alcohol.
Pets: We are dog friendly for friendly dogs. Dogs must remain leashed and supervised at all times. We provide dog bowls for water.
Bus / Limo: Please contact us for required reservations for groups larger than 8 people.

Private Events: Philip Carter Winery is nestled on 27 acres of rolling hills in the heart of Fauquier County’s Wine Country. The intimate surroundings and lush green vineyards provide a majestic backdrop to your special event.
Tastings: Through education and cultural experience, we seek to bring each guest a bit closer to the history and beauty of wine in Virginia. Seasonal offerings and regular programs in wine education promote the very best of our own personal wine journey.
